The 3 primary stressors on small business CEOs

|

I’ve found that there are three primary stressors on CEOs that cause the most frustration in trying to grow their small business.

  1. Lack of cash
  2. Lack of time
  3. Lack of momentum.

If you can overcome these three problems, business growth becomes much much easier to manage.

The challenge is, you can’t fix them all at once, you have to fix each one in order.

So I want to share with you the idea of the cash flow flywheel. The first thing we need to focus on is generating more cash flow. The reason is when you increase cash flow it then enables you to invest in people and systems that free up your time.

When your time gets freed up you get to spend more time working on your business not just in your business. This allows you to identify and prioritise strategic initiatives that generate business momentum.

The problem is, if you don’t fix lack of cash flow first, it makes it difficult to free up your time, which in turn makes it incredibly hard to prioritise activities that generate business momentum.

So if you’re wondering what you should focus on to generate business momentum and growth, start with increasing cash flow, then free up time, then prioritise strategic initiatives that generate momentum.
